The Real Floor: What a Pair Costs for Your Numbers
At Aoolia, a frame price is only half the story. The lens your numbers need sets the real starting price. Find the larger SPH number on your Rx (right or left eye), then read across.
Frame Traits That Move the Price
At Aoolia, three things about a frame can change what you pay for lenses. Every frame on this page carries a tag, so you can see it before you click.Rimless and half-rim frames start at a 1.59 lens. Our two lowest-priced lenses are cut for full-rim frames only. If you love an open look, check the third row of The Real Floor for your starting price. Tag: Needs 1.59+ lens.Wide lenses cost more to keep thin. With stronger numbers, every extra millimeter of lens width adds edge thickness. A lens 50 mm wide or less keeps edges slimmer, and it is what we suggest for strong plus numbers with a 1.67 or 1.74 lens. It also centers better if your pupils sit close together (under 58 mm apart). Tag: Narrow lens.Multifocal lenses need a taller frame. Lined and no-line multifocal lenses need a frame more than 30 mm tall, plus an ADD number on your Rx. Shorter frames can't take them. Tag: Multifocal-ready.Full-rim frames with none of these limits are tagged Base lens OK. They are where the lowest prices on this page live.
How We Keep Glasses Affordable
Aoolia prices frames on their own and prices lenses by what they do. That split is why a $1 frame can exist, and why we show lens costs before checkout instead of folding them into one bigger number. What the prices on this page mean:The price on each frame is what that frame costs today.Lenses are added on the next step, at the prices in The Real Floor and the add-on table.Shipping to US addresses: One coupon per order.Pay in full, or split the cost with Afterpay or Klarna.
Prescription Eyeglasses Pricing: Clear Costs for Every Lens Strength
Discount prescription eyeglasses at Aoolia start with frames from $1. Your total depends on the lens your numbers need: a mild correction in a full-rim frame starts at {PAIR_150}, and stronger numbers start at {PAIR_161} or more. The Real Floor table below lists every tier, so the price you plan for is the price you pay.
Questions About Discount Glasses
How much does a complete pair cost at Aoolia?
Frames start at $1, and a complete pair with our 1.50 standard lens in a full-rim frame starts at {PAIR_150}. Stronger numbers need thinner lenses, so pairs start at {PAIR_156}, {PAIR_161}, {PAIR_167} or {PAIR_174}, depending on your row in The Real Floor. Anti-glare, tints and other add-ons are optional.
Why does the price go up when I add lenses?
Because the frame and the lens are priced separately. The frame price covers the frame; your lenses are made to your numbers after you order. Stronger numbers, half-rim or rimless frames, and add-ons each raise the lens cost. The tables on this page show every step, so nothing new shows up at checkout.
Is a $1 frame lower quality than a $10 frame?
The difference is in material, finish and design, not in the lenses. Every frame on this page takes the same lens options, and every order is checked before it ships.
Do cheap frames work with strong numbers?
Yes, as long as the frame suits the lens. Look for the Narrow lens tag (lens width 50 mm or less), which keeps edges thinner. If your larger SPH number is beyond −6.00 or +3.00, rows four and five of The Real Floor show your starting price.
Does my eye doctor have to give me my numbers?
Yes. The FTC's Eyeglass Rule requires a free copy right after any exam that includes a vision test, whether or not you ask. You don't have to buy glasses from that office to get it. Our 'Your Numbers Belong to You' section above lists what to have ready.
